The John A. and Charlotte G. Yates Legacy Foundation (YLF) was established in 2011 by John A. Yates, Sr. and Charlotte G. Yates of Artesia, NM, to continue their legacy of service and philanthropy. As a private family foundation, YLF remains guided by Charlotte Yates, Founder & Director, and governed by a Board of Directors, including independent members John Perini, Jimmy Naylor, and Melinda Weast. Daily operations are led by President & CEO Yvonne Palmer, with support from Yates Legacy, LLC in accounting, investments, and administration.
Rooted in the Yates family’s long-standing values of service, entrepreneurship, integrity, and community, YLF is dedicated to making a meaningful and lasting impact. Our giving focuses on supporting youth, the elderly, Veterans, medical services, survivors of domestic violence, and Christian initiatives.
